生物与环境学院邀请阿尔伯塔大学Scott Nielsen博士、华东师范大学张健博士、中国科学院成都生物研究所陈有华博士在生物与环境学院会议室做了一场精彩的学术报告，报告主题分别为“Ecology of a flagship carnivore: Brown bears in the Canadian Rocky
Mountains”、“大数据时代的生物多样性与宏生态学”、“Prediction of rare species and introduction of RSE package”。论坛由毛岭峰教授主持，40余名师生参加了此次讲座。
Scott Nielsen博士详细介绍了他对作为北美落基山脉地区旗舰哺乳动物的棕熊从2000开始的工作，包括食物供给、栖息地选择及人类活动对其种群的影响的角度和研究领域。张健博士介绍了生物多样性大数据的概念、数据来源及他近年来在群落尺度、区域尺度和全球尺度相关的以生物多样性大数据为基础的代表性工作。陈有华研究员详细介绍了目前针对稀有种预测的一些问题及解决方案，特别给出了稀有种预测的统计学理论模型和R语言实现程序包，为生物多样性领域的野外调查和保护提供了非常好的理论基础。
Scott Nielsen is an Associate Professor of Conservation Biology in the Department
of Renewable Resources at the University of Alberta. His interests
are in terrestrial ecology (plant & animal) and its
applications to the field of conservation biogeography, using
methods that blend field studies of species with remote sensing,
GIS, and statistical modeling/forecasting. The geographic focus of
his work is the boreal and hemi-boreal forests of western and
central Canada and the Canadian Rocky Mountain montane forests.
张健，华东师范大学生态与环境科学学院教授、博士生导师。2004年毕业于山西大学，2009年中科院沈阳应用生态研究所获硕士学位，2013 年于加拿大阿尔伯塔大学获得理学博士学位，2013-2016 年分别在加拿大阿尔伯塔大学和丹麦奥胡思大学从事博士后研究。目前主要研究方向为生物多样性维持机制、生物多样性保护与宏生态学等。已以第一作者在美国国家科学院院刊、英国皇家学会会刊B、Journal of Ecology、Journal of Applied Ecology等杂志发表研究论文十余篇，其他合作文章20余篇。现任Remote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation杂志编委。
陈有华，中国科学院成都生物研究所研究员、博士生导师。长期从事生态统计建模、宏观生态保护与计算生态学等方面的研究，已经发表论文近百篇，其中SCI论文50余篇，包括Nature、PNAS、Global Change Biology、Journal of Applied Ecology、Conservation Biology、Diversity and Distributions、Journal of Geophysical Research-Atmospheres、Ecological Indicators、Communications Biology等国际主流学术期刊，累计影响因子点数过200，相关成果被Nature Communications, PNAS与Trends in Ecology and Evolution等杂志引用。直到目前为止，还出版英文学术专著3部，发布开源统计软件3个，是近40个SCI期刊的特邀审稿人。
